On emptiness or creative apathy - part 1
If it is important to stay in focus and have the drive to succeed, it is no less than a fact that artists and designers often have a complete blackout on creative thinking and even skilled work at all. As funny as this might sound to an individual that does not abide the creative professions, it is not a matter of laziness.
Having dueled myself in such familiar waters, i never took a step back against this occurrence, as some old friends that can testify in my favor might remember, I always worked tirelessly even when the quality of my work reflected this creative fatigue. As bravely as I fought against it, it caught up with me many years later, at the worse possible times, when remuneration was actually involved. It took me a while to gather this in a positive way, Ill explain:
In a dawn time conversation in Lisbon last May, one of my oldest friends brought up a matter that relates perhaps indirectly to this very matter. I asked him via his blog to develop this subject, and he politely never acknowledged. It was for me to figure out and develop it into a skill aid later.
The fact S, is that a force always creates a counter force, and wisely one must follow the path of least resistance-wise?
If yes, it doesn't work for most creative individuals we know. So either saying is wrong, or they don't get it... maybe too wise for their minds, this is quiet serious if they desire a future in the industry.
If not, well did anyone performed this mind skill well enough or at all? It is a matter of a few material and scientifically laws involved, and philosophy verified by science by analogy tends to produce some sort of result, even if not the desired outcomes.

Well, that night produced results, one of which is that in fact my self-published studies of late nineties/ begging of the century had to be reconsidered.
This generated shockwaves, and a really bad mood, but it turned out the studies were right, but a piece missing, not a final piece, that actually fits nice, but no- it was a middle bit...
The good thing was that it didn't affect the integrity of the text, but gave it real power, the type of life changing thing like some books we read that became part of our formation like l'etranger.

Project Sublimis has been launched in secrecy for industrial property purposes in the beginning of this century by myself to corroborate those studies, and it obtained its own life due to the collaboration of the Sublimis network, and thus the involvement of specialists of different fields across the planet, now being much more accurate and open than in the obscure beginnings, when it was a rough dreamlike sketch in my teenage mind, refreshed an vitalized by than afternoon breeze, shaded by sunset orange rays...
--
So I had to reinvent it? It actually works... I'm confused somehow- I thought. But since the software worked well so far, I really warped my brain capacity to come to terms with too much information at the same time, I suffered a buffer overflow, and shut down the network site for coming 3 months now, I have apologized and do so once again for the lack of notice to all network members, and I dedicate this paragraph to you guys, and thank you for your efforts in keeping one mans dream alive, asking nothing in return.

So the site is being re engineered as I write this I have the pieces in my screen, And even knowing that very few of you blog, I shall announce it here as this blog will be linked to the new site, Hopefully it will be ready soon, and up once the database is adjusted. The surprise is that I am running Sublimis on the website components...

Now back to the audience. So my friend made me realize what he meant by intensity in human character, and even did a small nostalgic intervention exploring our common teenage days, and things we spoke about back then. And this bridges back into the problem of blackouts on creative professionals and students alike, as I said before, it is not laziness, I established it to be a dependency on surroundings input (peoples, places and all related emotional needs). Then come excuses, as being disturbed by friends (or lack), people that cause some sort of undesired influence, finances, partners, relationships etc- these excuses keep on looping often for a lifetime, the reason why the work improves with age- there is a reduction in intensity, therefore less force generates less counterforce, and the quality of the work is less measured by remuneration, and true enjoyment starts to finally be felt, mostly because surprise surprise, the intensity that matches the generated force, also reacts against the creative mind that tries to FLOW(not plunge) to the logical mind of the artist to then be applied by skill (body, logic command inputed). So the force of striving forward creates a fatigue of the physical body and the creative mind.
